Sir Peter Gadsden Britain Australia Award
To encourage an exchange between Britain and Australia of engineers undertaking post graduate studies

To be decided British Engineering Post graduate wishing to study in Australia or Australian Post graduate engineer wishing to study in UK
Stephenson Award
This award was established in 1997 by members of the Company who were also members of the IMechE. to mark the 150th anniversary of the formation of the Institution
£500 Medal An occasional award for excellence in inspiring young people into engineering with particular reference to (but not exclusively) mechanical engineering
Cadzow Smith Award
To encourage business enterprise in young engineers
£2000 Medal Awarded to a student on the final year of an accredited engineering course in London and the vicinity who displays a combination of academic ability, personality and initiative that will provide most promise of future leadership in engineering
Mercia Award
This is an annual award for postgraduate study in medical engineering
£500 Medal Taught or Research postgraduate student under 30 at 30th June in year of award. Awarded to best paper submitted to defined guidelines
Water Engineering Award
Annual award for postgraduate research in Water Engineering
Medal Best Paper and presentation to IWA Young Researchers Conference
Fiona and Nicholas Hawley Award
Annual award for the application of proven technology to positively improve the environment.
£5000 Medal

For excellence in environmental engineering to a recipient, under 30 years of age, resident in the UK, and holding a graduate or postgraduate degree in engineering or science from a recognised UK university.

The Engineering Heritage Award An occasional Award for a significant contribution to the understanding and development of engineering through the interpretation of historical sites or processes. To be decided Awarded to any individual or organisation that satisfies the criteria; preference will be given to schemes which form part of an on-going educational programme.
